About DSCC

Dyersburg State Community College is a Tennessee Board of Regents Institution offering:

  • Academic programs that allow you to complete your first two years of college coursework at about one-half the cost of attending a public, four-year university.
  • Career programs that provide the training you need to enter the job market or upgrade your current skills.
  • Certificate programs which prepare students for specific, high-demand occupations.
About the College

The State Board of Education approved the creation of DSCC in 1967 and the first classes were offered in Dyersburg in the fall of 1969. Currently over 3,750 students are enrolled at the college at three locations through traditional classroom, on-line and hybrid course offerings.  Our Fall 2011 Fact Sheet provides more information.

DSCC is so proud of its alumni! Over 7,000 students have graduated from DSCC since the college began.  Anyone who has nine semester hours (or the equivalent in quarter hours) is eligible to join the DSCC Alumni Association.
