Dean of Students, Larenda Fultz
Larenda H. Fultz began her career at Dyersburg State in 1994 and was named Dean of Student Services in July 2010. Dean Fultz is an alumna of Dyersburg State Community College and Bethel University. She was named DSCC Staff Person of the Year 2010. The mission of the Division of Student Services is to support the development and coordination of programs, services, and activities designed to provide for the general welfare, the personal growth, and the development of students. Dean Fultz and the Student Services staff strive to provide access to programs, services and activities that complement experiences in the classroom including the varsity athletic program. She and her husband, Sydney, reside in Dyersburg and have two daughters ages 17 and 10.

Cheerleading Coach, Kate Thompson
Kate Thompson has over 30 years of experience teaching, coaching and providing choreography to students of dance, gymnastics and cheer. She began her study of dance at the age of 3 years in her home town of Houston, Texas. She trained mainly in classical ballet (Checcetti), but also in jazz, tap, acrobatic, modern, East Indian, Spanish, and choreography earning her a scholarship to Stephens College in Columbia, MO. In addition to dance, Kate’s study of gymnastics started in 1979. She now uses her background in dance and choreography to teach gymnastics and cheer. Kate and her husband, Dan, own Rainbow Gymnastics and Cheer located in Dyersburg. In addition to the DSCC Eagle Cheerleaders, they coach the Tennessee Twister Cheerleading teams, the Tennessee Twister Gymnastics team, provide cheer and gymnastics instruction to many members of middle and high school teams and offer private lessons. Kate is a USA Gymnastics Rated Judge and holds safety certifications from USAG and AACCA.
